Un estudio hist\u00f3rico sugiere que la principal causa del colapso de antiguos imperios como el Romano y la dinast\u00eda Ming de China fue la corrupci\u00f3n de sus gobiernos, a pesar que en sus inicios, sus l\u00edderes ofrec\u00edan \u201cbuenas pol\u00edticas y pr\u00e1cticas gubernamentales\u201d y eran \u201cmuy apreciados\u201d por los ciudadanos. Los resultados de la investigaci\u00f3n fueron publicados en la revista \u2018Frontiers in Political Science\u2019 (Blanton y col. Moral Collapse and State Failure: A View From the Past Front. Polit.
